Cork Craft & Design is a collaborative effort by craft makers in Cork County. I currently don’t stock my jewellery here – but keep an eye out as they hold open air markets and I am certainly going to be there for those.
They bring together the very best of Cork’s unique craftmakers and artists; ceramicists, jewellers, textile-workers, furniture-makers, woodturners and carvers, paper and felt makers, sculptors and many more. One of their initiatives is a retail shop where all these crafts people can sell their work. What makes this shop so fun is that stock changes from month to month – so you’ll see a new shop each month. Plus, you get a chance to meet the maker as we each take a turn minding the shop each day.
The Mill (unit 27a) at St. Patrick’s Woolen Mills, Douglas (beside the Pigs Back Restaurant) is the location for the Cork Craft and Design Shop. It’s a wonderful place to get a special gift for someone (or for you).
